PROCESS

At Universal Kitchens, we follow a clear and structured process to ensure a smooth project from start to finish. The steps below outline how we work and what to expect at each stage.

Step 1: Enquiry

Send us your rough measurements, plans/photos, inspiration, and requirements.

Note: All initial layouts and pricing are indicative only and subject to change once site measurements are confirmed.

Step 2: Consultation

  • Free 1-hour showroom consultation, or

  • Free site visit within 10km (fees may apply beyond)

We’ll discuss your needs and provide an initial quote and draft plan.

Note: This stage is conceptual only and not for construction use.

Step 3: Design & Approval

A design bond is required to begin detailed design (credited if you proceed).

Includes:

  • Detailed plan and elevations

  • Site measurement carried out by us

  • Two (2) design revisions

Additional:

  • Further revisions: $65/hour (not credited)

  • 3D renders: $150 each (optional)

Note:

  1. Please inform us of any construction work (e.g. wall changes, plumbing, electrical, flooring, or structural alterations) that may affect the space.

  2. If you do not proceed, the bond is non-refundable.

  3. Changes after design approval will be treated as variations, which may incur additional costs and delays.

Step 4: Production

(Usually 2–3 weeks, in some cases up to 6 weeks)

Production begins after final design approval and deposit.
Timelines will be confirmed and coordinated with trades if required.

Step 5: Installation

  • Cabinet installation: 1–2 days

  • Benchtop (if included): templating after installation, completed approximately 7–10 days later

Important Notes

  • The site must be accessible; additional visits may incur charges

  • Variations may result in additional costs and extended timelines
